I have written my bucket list.
You’d think there are plenty of things you want to do.
But, when you actually sit down to write them out, it’s surprisingly difficult.
I could only list 12 items. ONLY 12 items…
Why only 12 items?
I believe there are two main reasons:
- Each item on my list is quite big.
- There are many smaller things that I hesitate to include in a bucket list.
1.Each Item on my list is quite big
For example, items like “Create my company” or “Living on a deserted island” are on my list.
These goals need a significant amount of preparation to achieve.
While they may look impressive as dreams, they feel like a test of my determination.
I’m serious about starting a company.
But living on a deserted island is more like something I’d love to try if I can.
Anyway, “a big goal begins with small steps.”
To create my company, I’m already working on various tasks through my side business.
For living on a deserted island, I’m thinking of activities like tent camping while hiking or just regular camping.
In fact, I’ve already purchased some gears for tent camping. Now I just need to go!
2.There are many smaller things that I hesitate to include in a bucket list.
For example, things like:
- Going to the zoo
- Buying electric curtains
- Hiking more often
There are many smaller goals like these, but they didn’t feel like “bucket list” items, so I left them out.
Of course, I think it’s totally fine to include them.
Maybe I just wanted my bucket list to feel a bit more special.
I didn’t include them in my bucket list.
I still think that achieving small things, one by one, is an important way to enrich my life.
I want to value those smaller “wants” as well.
I found What I Truly Want to Do
Even though I only listed 12 items, it was still a valuable process.
By writing them down, I was able to carefully think about “What do I really want to do?”
Creating this list gave me the opportunity to make a mind map and reflect deeply on myself and my future.
In everyday life, it’s hard to find time to think about these things.
Now that I’ve set these goals, I want to achieve as many as possible.
By reaching small goals step by step, I believe I’ll discover new things along the way.
Recently, I felt stuck in my life.
Now, with the big goal of create my company, I finally have something real to focus on.
I’m excited to get started.
Why not try making your own bucket list?
